Dr. Ratnadeep R. Deshmukh

Dr. R. R. Deshmukh, Dr. R. R. Deshmukh is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology (CSIT) at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (B.A.M.U.), Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. He is the Program Coordinator for the DST-FIST program in the department, sanctioned by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), New Delhi. Additionally, he holds the position of University Coordinator for the Global Initiative on Academic Network (GIAN) program. Dr. Deshmukh is a Fellow member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and has been serving as the Chairman of IETE Aurangabad Centre since 2014. In 2019, he was elected as the Sectional President of the ICT section of the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). He is also the Coordinator of the Maharashtra State Marathi Vishwakosh Nirmiti Mandal, appointed by the Government of Maharashtra, responsible for developing the Marathi Vishwakosh in Information Technology and Computer Science (since May 17, 2017). Dr. Deshmukh is an active member of several prestigious academic and professional organizations, including ISCA, CSI, ISTE, IEEE, IAEng, CSTA, and IDES, and he holds a Senior Membership with ACEEE. He previously served as Chairman of IETE Aurangabad Centre for four years and was a member of the Management Council, Academic Council, and Senate at Dr. B.A.M. University. An accomplished scholar, he has edited twelve books and published over 180 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He is also a reviewer and editor for several prestigious journals worldwide. His expertise has been sought in numerous academic and professional committees at the national level, and he has played a key role in organizing numerous workshops and conferences.

University of Washington, Seattle, and Western Washington University, Bellingham, USA, for academic engagements. Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, where he presented a research paper at the 18th Oriental COCOSDA / CASLRE Conference. Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand, where he presented a research paper at the Fourth International Conference on Intelligent Systems, Modeling, and Simulation (ISMS 2013). Research Projects & Specializations Dr. Deshmukh has successfully led multiple research projects, including: DST-FIST Sponsored Project (2013-2018) on "Hyper Spectral Image Analysis of RS and GIS", sanctioned by the Government of India, New Delhi, with funding of ₹1.22 Crore (INR 1,22,00,000/-). Three research projects funded by UGC, securing grants exceeding ₹18 Lakhs. His research interests and areas of expertise include: Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Speech Signal Processing, Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Auditory Scene Analysis (CASA), Neural Networks, and more. Awards & Recognitions Dr. Deshmukh’s contributions to academia and research have been widely recognized: "Bharat Ratna Mother Teresa Gold Medal Award" (2015) for outstanding contributions to education and research, strengthening India’s unity and economic development. "Best Teacher Award" (2017) from the IRDP Group of Journals, Chennai, India, for excellence and remarkable achievements in teaching, research, and publication. First Prize at the Inter-University State-Level Research Festival "AVISHKAR - 2009", under the H.L.F.A. category at the teacher level & for team management. His profile was featured in the 32nd Edition of Marquis Who’s Who in the World (2014), listing over 55,000 distinguished professionals globally.
